I hope that the listing of info did not come off as a know it all type of thing AltheaRose,I was really just putting out what I liked from those shows and what is special to you of course is what makes for an a+ show.To be honest I put out that onslaught of info to show up that loudmouth fraud Dark.Starz who seems to only be able to link shows, which he seems to know very little about,or tell long fictional tales of his storied past. What can you expect from a grown man who calls Garcia,Jer Bear.

Oh, I didn't take it as know-it-all-ish at all! I think it's great to see specific tunes pointed out as particularly good by folks like you who've really spent a lot of time listening carefully, and in the case of shows I've been to, I like that even more, cuz I honestly don't try much to be analytical myself in those cases. I really do find that I can't do it, and that's just fine.

Kinda cool that you highlighted a few tunes that I remember specifically (the Candyman from 11/18/78; the Wharf Rat from 12/3/79). Not that I remember them in terms of "quality," just in terms of, ya know, remembering them. But I'm not gonna howl and say, "Oh grrrr, he didn't say my first shows were the Bestest Shows Ever in All Dead History, bad bad Jerlouvis, I hates him!" :-)

I love the 'retired/computer' aspect...Good job; I think that you and bkid are two of the more singular sorts around here these days, but I don't get to know folks like I used to...
